ABOUT THE ROLE

Does the idea of translating product capabilities into business benefits and compelling stories get you up in the morning? Reporting to our VP of Product Marketing, you will deliver highly visible content, both internally and externally.

The Principal Product Marketing Manager will collaborate cross-functionally, creating go-to-market strategies that demonstrate Orca’s differentiated leadership in cloud security. You’ll lead launches, connect with analysts, write great blogs, and build technical enablement content. 

There are many layers and nuances to IT security stacks, and it's key that you are able to communicate our value clearly in a language that experts can quickly understand. This includes having the ability to position Orca accurately within our audience's understanding of the world.

Long story short – you will be the champion of Orca’s latest and greatest product developments which positively influence and disrupt the cloud security industry. Pretty exciting, right?

As part of the job you'll also: 

  • Further develop the value proposition, positioning, and messaging for new product roll-outs
  • Develop content to educate DevOps, Security Ops, and CISOs about our solutions, as well as excite, motivate and inspire them to become customers
  • Plan and execute product launches, including website content, press releases, analyst briefings, internal and external announcements, and social media
  • Collaborate to create sales presentations/playbooks, white papers, blog posts, datasheets, videos, web pages, industry solutions content, webinars, training, pricing, competitive comparisons, FAQs, and best practice
  • Compile and assimilate sales, engineering, customer, competitive, technical, and industry insights to develop a strong understanding of client needs, pain points, and market alternatives

ABOUT YOU

  • Product Marketing: 5+ years of experience in product marketing roles targeting enterprise clients and 2+ years in the cloud security industry
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, solve problems, improvise, and manage time effectively
  • Entrepreneurial bias with a strong desire to be involved in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving business
  • Experience both creating and delivering content in webinars, webcasts, interviews, and panel discussions
  • “Get stuff done” attitude with a high degree of accountability; willingness to set bold goals and take measured risks
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills and an ability to translate technical information into compelling content
  • Experience with Infrastructure and Platform as a Service Providers: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Be an engaging communicator who is passionate about cloud technology, and have a wide industry drive to interact with customers, prospects, analysts, media, and other industry SMEs
  • Successful track record of working remotely with global technical teams
  • Ability to operate and excel at both a strategic and tactical level
  • To be successful you will need to demonstrate hands-on experience with the Orca Cloud Security Platform and solutions, amplify marketing materials with technical expertise and help deliver successful marketing programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science preferred
