About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Engineer to join the Orca’s team, focusing on Monitoring and Visibility responsibilities. As part of the role, you will build, monitor, maintain, and support critical infrastructure and systems that drive our cloud security solutions. You’ll leverage monitoring tools and dashboards to identify potential issues in real-time, responding to incidents with urgency and precision to minimize downtime and impact to our production environment and our customers. In this role, you’ll become an expert in the day-to-day workflows of our Operations team and the production day-to-day, learning and enhancing procedures to improve system reliability and efficiency. You will also collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement automation to streamline alerts, diagnostics, and other repetitive tasks, ensuring a high standard of operational excellence.
About you:
- Knowledge on databases – RDS/Postgres and Elasticsearch queries.
- Monitoring solutions experience – Grafana, Prometheus or any others.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions AWS, GCP and Azure.
- Self-learning abilities and a technical understanding.
- Able to provide in depth analyses in a short time.
- Ability to provide support to Orca Production in flexible hours Troubleshooting and diagnosis capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
- Self-management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Fast learner, and ability to perform well under pressure.
On a typical day you’ll:
- Monitor and optimize monitoring and processes around production environment.
- Understand processes, event-management and prioritization.
- Respond to issues and various technical problems in real time.
- Track issues End to End until problems are resolved, perform the initial evaluation for incidents, contact the relevant stake holders in the organization as needed.
- Define and maintaining KPI’s to assure production system health.
- Build monitoring, automations, dashboards and visibility, including alerts.
