Life at Orca Security revolves around the Pod – the people who have joined Orca’s mission to make the cloud a safer place for all. The ‘Pod Spotlight’ is a Q&A series dedicated to showcasing all of the amazing talent at Orca Security.
Today we’re spotlighting Nitzan Yudovitch, Senior Software Developer working out of the Tel Aviv office.
Why did you choose to work at Orca Security, and when did you join?
I joined Orca about one and a half years ago. I knew that some of the best people in this industry choose to work here, so I wanted to join, too. And, I wasn’t wrong!
What advice do you have for people getting started in your field?
Admitting when you don’t know something offers the best chance to learn, so don’t be afraid to say you’re unsure. Also, developers aren’t robots (lol!). We value teamwork and building that kind of culture; helping someone or even just being there to celebrate their wins goes a long way.
How has working at Orca Security challenged you to grow?
Since our company as a whole continues to grow at a rapid pace, I am constantly challenged by the need to improve and rethink aspects of the product. Also, working as a developer at Orca has allowed me to push ideas from thoughts to full implementation on a faster scale than what might be possible at other companies. To see the immediate impact of my work is awesome, and the cycle continues from there!

What’s the best thing about working within a team?
I enjoy brainstorming with them and coming up with new ideas together that can take our company to the next level. We all work together and believe that what we create together can go far. Also, there’s nothing like a debugging Zoom session, of course.
Thank you, Nitzan, for taking the time to sit down and let us know what life is like working at Orca Security! We’re proud to have you swimming with the Pod.
