Description
An Amazon EC2 Load Balancer can be set to distribute incoming requests across multiple Availability Zones or a single Availability Zone. However, if the Load Balancer is configured to use a single Availability Zone, it will not be able to redirect traffic to targets in another Availability Zone in case the configured Availability Zone becomes unavailable. It was detected that the classic ELB {AwsEc2Elb} is not configured to span multiple Availability Zones. It is advised to configure at least two availability zones for your Load Balancer to ensure availability of services. Having multiple availability zones configured will help eliminate having a single point of failure for the application.
